If it is a "FPP" type license, you have the right to use it to activate Office on your new /5828.txt. My personal preference is buying the CD for a couple of reasons. If you buy Home and Student, you are allowed 3 concurrent installations, and the Academic will allow 2 concurrent installations. With the CD, in the future you will not have to worry about finding the instalation files.
